Many people think that student politics is needed as a factory for making future leaders of the country. But now the time has come to stop student politics in Bangladesh. Students have now become the batons of political parties.
What can the future generations of our country learn by engaging in student politics in the present or future educational institutions? We now see that student politics means the muscle strength of the political party, the stick in the hand. To occupy the streets, to stop the protests on the streets. Political parties use anatomy to bid.
When it comes to stopping student politics, everyone brings up the issue of '52. They give an excuse but now they don't see that the students are working as sticks for all the teams.
In other words, what does any political party currently teach for the development of its student body members?
Let's all list together what our boys / girls learn from the student league.
Processing on campus?
Attend political party meetings?
Being present at the flower-giving ceremony on different days, join in the prayer mahfil, taking pictures of relief distribution.
Then in the newspaper we see tender bazaar, extortion, fights between the two sides for influence in the area and everything is done with the use of modern weapons. Time has not changed.
From time to time we see such forms of students in the lure of gaining power. Students like Arbar die but we don't wake up.
And everyone means that the son of the present leader will be the leader of the future. The leaders of our country talk about democracy, they talk about student politics but the son of the leader will be the leader. This has become the democratic rule of the country.
Now the discussion is who will be the future Prime Minister Joy or Tareq? But no one said that such a student leader would be a good Prime Minister.
At present, the leader's sons have returned to the country after studying abroad and started politics with their father. Family system is seen among the big leaders of every district. And the ordinary boy who gave his life to the student body strengthens the hand of the leader's son as a stick. Later, he was beaten by the boys of the other group and died.
If the students are good people, developed in the college as possessors of good personality, then they will do it every time for the needs of the country.
In developed countries, there are different classes / curricula for personal development in educational institutions. The students are allowed to give lectures, presentations, debates, group discussions, various projects on various topics and by presenting it in front of everyone in the class, the students learn how to speak in front of everyone, these debates are very useful for leadership development.
I don't understand how a student can improve in this kind of work. More than that a student can be helped to develop student leadership by engaging in debates, lectures, presentations in front of school, college students, various projects, field walks, group discussions, and so on.
The world is moving forward and we are falling 52, 71. Looking at 91.
We should stop student politics now. To include students in education by making them suitable for personality and leadership formation like the renowned universities of developed countries.
