The predictable irrelevance of Boris Johnson has finally begun to manifest in Britain, not as a result of his continual economic, personal and other lies - but due to an epic level of blatant denial surrounding an 'illegal' party held at 10 Downing Street during a COVID lockdown and on the eve of 'Prince Phillip's Funeral!
Boris is well known for his complete disregard for the feelings of other people and complete inability to relate to other humans beyond a surface level sympathy that seems more engineered than based in deep awareness. However, even for him his recent actions have seemed stunningly disrespectful for the British population.
While millions of people were unable to visit their family members in hospitals, care homes and other places - often as they lay dying for all kinds of reasons:
- Boris and crew completely ignored their own rules and partied!
As the following pieces from Sky News explain, not only have he and his colleagues been exposed and caught as having organised several Christmas parties at the Prime Minister's office at 10 Downing Street, breaking their own COVID19 lockdown policies in the process - but he has now claimed that he didn't know that the rules were being broken! The same rules that he had been wheeled out, over and over again, to explain to the population...
Additionally, one of the parties took place on the even of alleged 'Prince' Phillip's funeral - which in the world of British patriotism is a definite 'no, no':
Governments breaking their own rules is nothing new and is, in truth, a total normality for them. However, there is only so far they can go with this before the people will turn on them. Ordinarily, they rely on a controlled media and epic levels of psychological manipulation and dysfunctional denial among the population in order to repeatedly commit massive crimes without facing any come back. In this case, they cannot escape so easily.
Boris has used every lame trick in the book to try to escape facing the music over this issue - ranging from blaming junior staff in the office, through to claiming that he had no idea that the rules were being broken and that he assumed they weren't because 'surely the party wouldn't be going ahead if they were'! This reminds me of the joke about the drunk being stopped while driving by a cop and saying 'Of course I'm driving officer, I couldn't possibly walk in this state!'... As if the act of breaking the rule itself justifies the breaking of the rules.
Not only have numerous emails been leaked confirming the planning of the party in advance, but several of Boris' top advisers and a top journalist at the Times newspaper have confirmed that he knew about it in advance.
There is an internal government investigation underway into the situation, but regardless of the conclusions drawn - it is likely that the majority of the population will turn against Boris and the Tory party here.
Of course, the entire 'democracy' is a facade and has in no way ever represented the will of the people or provided a choice for people to have their views represented in policy making. The entire system has always been a confidence trick designed to steal as much power from the population as possible - however, within the political stage show trickery of the two party system, such behaviour tends to lead to removal and being replaced by the 'opposing' political party at the next election.. who, of course, will also abuse the population in a different way, causing the goldfish bowl memoried electors to then vote in the Tory party again next time. The voters age and die, leading their children to repeat the process ad infinitum... Until they become conscious.

In a nation where the population has been disempowered for generations in every conceivable way that matters, short of total authoritarian control - the response is predictably mocking, but toothless. None the less, there have been some amusing moments - such as the crowd of Borises singing outside 10 Downing St.:
