Half truths and Half lies.

"The most dangerous lies are the slightly disfigured truths."

Not long ago, I came across this quote about truths and lies, it's something that I have come across repeatedly when I review things about political discourse and mass manipulation.

In itself, politics in my context has a very bad reputation, but it is because the practitioners of this noble art have been identified with the worst kind of crooks and criminals. Personally, I think it has been a mistake that has cost us dearly, we have left the handling of political issues in the hands of populists, demagogues and criminals and that has led us to a series of disasters that are terrible .

Among the resources that these so-called politicians often use, who are rather criminals who venture into the political sphere, is the handling of discourse to blatantly lie, but in certain cases, they show to have an intelligence above the average, such as scammers and psychopaths, managing to create a dangerous mix of truths and lies, just enough to make them credible and give them benefits.

I think that it is this type of lies in political speeches that is the most difficult to discover and to dismantle, since cleaning and separating the fractions of truth that were intermingled with lies is a very arduous lake, so many times it falls into the position reductionist to go to extremes and assume that everything said is a lie or that everything that was said is somehow true.

This is why I would like the general population to be more careful and pay more attention to what politicians say and contrast it with the actions they show, because that would help to discover incongruities and separate those who simply lie clumsily in everything and those who can mix truths and lies, which makes them much more dangerous.
