I can't claim to know Asian culture; penetration is only possible to a certain extent if you have travelled or lived in Asian countries. But reading books also helps.
The mentality of the Chinese, there is certainly something to it, is less obviously aggressive. If the information is correct that African countries have been freed from their debts to China, this can be probably seen as a positive fact.
From the video I get the impression that Chinese governments are not controlled by oligarchs and financial institutions. No idea if this is true or how China's monetary policy even works.

Yup, look at the professions of the ones in government before they ran for office. Most are working class, not upper class.
