Melancholy

How I wonder and ask myself if am really alive,
The pain is so much I don’t laugh

My world is lost, so lost am alone
How do I find home on my own,

Mystified, am sinking on my feet,
Not a grain to eat,

I can’t sleep with dignity,
I try, but slip into reality.

Barely breathing, am covered in slough,
It can’t be, I have had enough,

If it’s life I want to die,
If it’s a dream I want to rise,

If I rose I want to laugh,
If I died I want to laugh.
