"Broken Lullaby"

We were two hearts changing paths
The plans we had were gone too fast
Living in the same room with different dreams
Had to face it was not what it seemed

It was such a heavy feeling when we said our goodbyes
So much more that we could have done and places, we could have flown to fly
But all I have now are my memories and a broken-hearted lullaby

We were standing on the edge but we wanted different things
The passions of our souls wander apart and go astray
Leaving me here, I can't deny all the pain I can't hide

We were just like two kids in love,
Running around like we had it all,
But then reality came knocking,
Tearing us apart, with none of us to blame.

And tonight I'm crying inside
As the pain sets in and I try to say goodbye.
So many roads we never walked down,
And so many dreams were left unfinished, that we never got to.

We could have never imagined this day,
Where the time that we had to share would fade away.
Under the same sky and the same moon,
Still, I'm here alone, waiting for you.
