Pomegranate Growing Process

in plants •  2 years ago

Have you ever seen how does a full Pomegranate growing process takes place. Well I had not seen it before. Over the weekend we went for long drives up into the mountain and now is the season for Pomegranate to just start germinating and growing into fruits. I could get to see this whole process on different Pomegranate trees that we came across on the way. It is beautiful to see how the whole plant grows from a small bud.

These trees are not very tall ones, they are mid size and within our reach.

The fruits starts with these small round bulbs, these have already grown a little bigger.

As is grows the rounds bulbs elongates.

And from that the flower of the plant comes out

The flower grows out and then starts the process of the pomegranate fruit growing.

The soft petals of the flower starts getting covered up with the hard pomegranate skin taking over it.

As it keeps growing the fruit starts getting bigger and the mouth starts closing up

As the fruit grows up fully the mouth is also covered up fully

The ones growing on these trees are very small ones, normally in the market you will get much bigger ones. The locals here sell these in the local market or just use them for them consumption. It's a beautiful process to see them growing from a bud into a beautiful fruit. Pomegranates grow in cold climates and they are seasonal. In the mountains of Oman there are ample of pomegranate plants that grow.
It's a very healthy fruit, has anti-oxidant, anti-viral and anti-tumor properties and is said to be a good source of vitamins, especially vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, as well as folic acid.
Hope you all enjoyed watching this process of how a pomegranate grows.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Very cool! I had no idea. Every single stage is interesting and beautiful! Thanks for showing us. Did you have to take shots over time, or does one tree have all these stages at the same time?

From the bud to the flower I could take it in one time as they were on the tree, The full form pomegranate I had to take after some days. It is a very interesting process to see them growing from that small bud to the whole fruit.

wow this is amazing I just got some HUGE organic pomegranates so cool to see how they get grown, you post is on 7.77 right now! thats always my manifestation about to ground itself number.

That's so good energy @ultravioletmag. In my region we do not get very big pomegranates but the ones that grow are extremely sweet and juicy.
