Starting A Herb Garden

in plants •  2 years ago

I've always wanted a garden for as long as I can remember. The feeling of the grass touching my tootsies and having my own vegetables just made me feel happy in a way. I really don't know why I feel this way, I can't even keep cactuses alive let alone veggies. But I'm more motivated now. I've been practicing keeping things alive, starting with my cat and myself...I've been making progress. Here are some of the plants we are growing.

As seen in the pictures, my dad and I have made a start to the herb garden, we bought some rosemary and lavender from an acquaintance and bought some seeds from a garden shop. We are trying to find this plant called Neem or in Thai "Sadao". Everyone says "oh, it's so common" and "yeah, you can get it everywhere", it's so common that not a single person in the market, plant shop, or garden shop sells it.

Sadao is a very bitter plant and is known to make younger children cry because of its taste. But my dad and I have no interest in eating it, we want to grow it because it gets rid of unwanted pests. Wish us luck in finding it...if we ever find it.

The "it's very popular... but we don't have it." syndrome.

This is the hottest of times and the wettest of times.
Let's see what survives .
