Plagiarism is the act of a writer or artist copying someone else's work. And, if you ever find you've been accused of plagiarism, you have a legitimate reason to worry. It's not plagiarism if you use the same idea but in a different way, or take from a similar character or place. It is plagiarism if you plagiarize directly. It's called an "inverse" plagiarism, meaning that you take a work you know you didn't write and add your own twist or character.
I know it's hard because often people want to explain away their plagiarized work, but really, it looks bad on you, especially if someone else claims they have already seen your work.
Pretending to Be Someone Else
This can be the littlest thing a blogger may decide to do ie; asking for a recommendation from a blogger for example, to help them with their application to write.
But, rather than simply showing up the blogger might end up mentioning something the else which might add the caveat that they would be happy to recommend the blogger.
