Today I am sharing with you some exceptional photography.Photos are taken from Bandarban MARAINGTONG hill. My cousin went to Bandarban with friends for Eid vacation and they did a campaign there under the pull of nature.
Buddhist Golden Temple
At a height of about 1600 feet on the top of the hill, there is a wonderful architectural structure of Buddhist metal, gold and silver. Although it is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, it is quite attractive for tourists. 14 communities including 11 hill communities living in Bandarban also hold Buddhist metal gold and silver as a sacred place. It can easily attract the attention of tourists. The closer you get, the more life you get. On the top of the hill there are so many beautiful Buddhist metal and gold jewelry that creates many mysteries in mind. From a distance, it seems to be close. It is as if the Golden Temple is beckoning tourists. Buddha Dhatu Jadi (Golden Jadi) is built in Balaghata area just 4 km away from the district town. Which in short people call as Jadi or Golden Temple. It is said to be one of the best Buddha Jadis in the subcontinent. Its architectural style, craftsmanship, gilded infrastructure are breathtaking. As it is a sacred place for millions of religious men and women, it has also gained popularity as a very popular tourist spot. Devotees and tourists have to climb 123 stairs in the Buddhist tradition. Workers and artists brought from several countries including Myanmar, Sri Lanka have made this Buddhist metal gold jar. It took about a year to build. There are about hundreds of small and big Buddhist statues in Jadi. Some of these idols are made locally but most of the idols are brought from different countries including Sri Lanka, China, Myanmar, Nepal. A small pond is naturally formed in the Buddh Jadi area. A meditating Buddha statue in the middle of the pond is a rocky natural figure, also known as Pari Dighi Deity's Pond on the top of the higher mountain. Local Buddhists and Hindus believe that drinking the water of this god's pond cures many diseases. People who visit Swarna Jadi take water from the god's pond in bottles or containers. Every year in the month of January-February, the fair is held in the area of Buddhist Dhatu Jadi. This Buddhist Dhatu Jaadi Fair is held for weeks and months.
Ours is the only district in Bangladesh which is called Bandarban, Queen of Shapes. Some beautiful pictures of hilly areas are collected with my cousin's samsung galaxy mobile.
