Old Photographs

Allow me to present a collection of photographs I captured in the distant past, showcasing a mixed assortment of shots taken with a vintage SLR camera utilizing traditional negative film, alongside others captured using my previous DSLR camera. Additionally, there are a few snapshots taken with my mobile device.

Presently, I rely solely on my phone for photography, as I embrace a minimalist lifestyle while constantly grappling with financial constraints. How does one describe an individual who is perennially financially destitute, lacking a permanent abode, and carrying all their worldly possessions in a modest 32L backpack?

Regarding mobile phones, my preferences lean towards those equipped with pure Android, cutting-edge camera capabilities, and various other useful functionalities. My journey into the smartphone era commenced with a durable Motorola Defy, a phone that faithfully served me for an extensive period, bringing great satisfaction. I took the liberty of rooting my Motorola Defy and ensuring it remained consistently updated, enabling me to transition from Android 1.6 to the esteemed Android 4.4 version. Subsequently, due to outdated hardware, I procured a new phone sporting Android 5.

Among the variety of phones available, there were Acer, ZTE, and some obscure Chinese brands. However, my experience with them has always been unsatisfactory as they lack durability. The initial ZTE I owned had a meager 4 GB storage space and 512 MB RAM, rendering it incapable of functioning smoothly. The subsequent ZTE I owned did not last long either; I promptly sold it. I made the decision to sell it because I had saved up enough money to purchase another Motorola, a brand I have previously enjoyed using. This particular Motorola phone served me well for an extended period of time and the camera quality was notably superior.

Following this, I acquired yet another Motorola phone, but unfortunately, it broke shortly after due to an accidental drop, resulting in a shattered screen. Despite the broken screen, I continued using it for seven months until I saved enough money to purchase a Google Pixel. To this day, I remain delighted with my Google Pixel as it has proven to be the best phone I have ever owned. All of my most recent photographs are captured using this reliable device.

Within the realm of visual capture, it becomes evident that I have traversed a multitude of cameras in my quest to extract the utmost excellence from my photographic endeavors. One could possess a sophisticated and exorbitant camera system, and yet, the resultant photographs fail to evoke a resounding sense of wonder. Conversely, there exists a young child, armed with a discarded vintage camera salvaged from the rubbish, whose captivating photographs have the power to seize one's breath.
