Capturing life's moments on the go has become easier and more accessible since the introduction of the digital camera. Now, whether you're taking photos on your phone, or using your DSLR, you've got the opportunity to shoot anything and everything and share it with the world in an instant.
When I was young, my friends and I had a love affair with the classic Polaroid camera. We shot pictures wherever we went, capturing our adventures and milestones in an instant. Then, just like that, Polaroid stopped making cameras and all of the film in the world wasn't worth a damn anymore.
Fast forward a few decades and now the Polaroid is making a comeback. It's not exactly the same, though, because instead of using traditional film, we're now shooting with the same old technology that has been used for the past 40 years. So instead of capturing real-time experiences and emotions in black and white, we're sharing the same old reality in color.
While I love capturing my memories with the Polaroid, there's still something missing. When we take a photo of a moment, we stop time and freeze it in place.
Photography lets us experience life. It allows us to live in another moment, in another place, and capture our own unique story.
So today, let's start a new chapter. Let's live our stories. And in the process, let's capture more moments.
My goal in life is to share the stories that shape me, to capture the world, and to never forget my past.
