West Indian Lantana (Multi-colored Flower)

in photography •  4 years ago

A bouquet in a small package. That's how I wanted to describe this particular flower.

It is the only flower that I've seen that showcases multiple colors in a single bunch of tiny flowers. It's really interesting how they look when seen up-close.

The other interesting aspect of it is that it has a very strong scent that I really hate. It makes me feel that it's meant to have a sharp scent to prevent animals from eating it. It could be a defense mechanism. It's a survivor and it doesn't really require anything other than what the environment provides.
