A moth has visited our backyard and has been grazing around the area of the stone wall where there are lichens. This species is called Lichen Moth because of their favorite food... lichens!
The interesting pattern at the back of its wings resembles a lichen and it almost blends into the surroundings. That could be a defense mechanism for this insect.
