It was a gloomy afternoon and I was walking along the shore looking for possible subjects that I can capture through the lens as I want to try my phone's shooting capabilities and I found the seashore as one of the ideal spot using my phone's point-and-shoot camera. At first I was doubtful if my phone can deliver a good result as it is getting dark and the setting sun is shrouded by clouds which gives me a feeling that taking pictures of the golden hour in that situation will just arrive to boring photographs.

So I focused myself to take pictures of the landscape that is seen towards the opposite direction of the shore that still brightened by the sun's remaining light. I made the rockbed and the partial view of the shore as my subjects while the view of the mountain and the cloudy sky as the backgrounds and the results are just contemplating for me.

I am about to go home as I thought I already have enough to photograph at that time but my curiosity was raised when I glanced at the sunset that is still shrouded by clouds.

Then I again shifted my attention to the landscape as my curiosity gets stronger on how it appeared through the lens if it is captured using basic gadgets, that is no flash and no built-in adjustments while taking pictures.

That is when things gets brighter and better, literally and figuratively spoken as everything came up like a big surprise when the sun finally sets in as I don't expect seeing such kind of things because I was overwhelmed by the gloomy weather of which I thought will just arrived to boring results! However, my initial thoughts was erased when the sky suddenly became more vibrant as it is brightened by the afterglow.

Finally as darkness becomes more dominant to the environs, a wonderful glow blazed onto the horizon as the sky turned to a living canvass being painted by the Divine Creator.

For those who are still using the basic point-and-shoot type of phone cameras, try to find your phone's shooting capabilities because for sure, it is just right there and we only need to flex ourselves to discover them as I believe that we can all excel whether the phone we are using is simple or not. All we need is some sort of interest to learn and dedication to our craft. That's all and thank you for reading.
