Eine Symbiose "bezeichnet die Vergesellschaftung von Individuen zweier unterschiedlicher Arten, die für beide Partner vorteilhaft [sind]" [1].
So eine Symbiose kann man oft an Bäumen erkennen, wenn diese meistens am unteren Baumstamm mit Moos bewachsen sind. Das Moos sorgt dafür dass die Bäume nicht zu schnell austrocknen und im Gegenzug dazu bieten die Baumstämme eine gute Fläche zum vermehren des Mooses. In diesem Fall ist es aber zu spät, da die Bäume schon vertrocknet sind.

A symbiosis "refers to the association of individuals of two different species that [are] beneficial to both partners" [1].
Such a symbiosis can often be seen on trees, when they are mostly covered with moss on the lower trunk. The moss ensures that the trees do not dry out too quickly and, in turn, the tree trunks provide a good surface for the moss to grow.
