This basil plant is grown in my home premises. In fact it is grown in everybody's home in India because it is offered to Indian god and goddess. Not only that, basil leaves are used for medical purposes in the country. I think you have heard about Ayurveda treatment which was hugely practiced in ancient times in India. However, it is again gaining popularity in the country and nowadays several people are taking Ayurveda medicines to cure their diseases.
