Near Mahenshan city of Zanjan province, there is a #mysterious and strange attraction.
A building that has traces of goblin and demon on its face, and the natives consider its construction to be the work of jinns.
That's why it's called the genie's chimney.
Follow me to learn more about it.
Jinn Chimney
The ghost chimney phenomenon is one of those attractions that can be seen in different parts of the world such as Mahenshan city.
In geological terms, the natural phenomenon of the genie's smoke is called "hoodo".
Hoodo is actually a mushroom-like stone that has been shaped like a tall and thin minaret due to erosion, and another stone has been placed on top of it.
In Zanjan, these hoodoos are called "Jinn Chimney".
To see the chimney, you have to go 20 km to Mahenshan and 120 km to Zanjan.
There you will see a tall column made of clay, formed by long-term erosion, and a flat stone slab on top of it has given it the appearance of a chimney.
You may ask why the locals call these chimneys "Jen's chimney"?
Because in the past, the construction of any building that was difficult for humans was attributed to jinns and demons.
Hoodoos are always a remarkable phenomenon for geologists, but Zanjan hoodoos are not protected and are exposed to destruction.
At the foot of these chimneys, there is an old fortress, which tells about the long history of this place.
Passing through the chimneys, we come across the remains of a large castle, which is called Behestan Castle with Devil's Throne.
This castle with 64 rooms and two staircases is on the list of national monuments and visiting it is very memorable.
The exterior of the castle looks like a wall of connected chimneys and a number of separate chimneys.
At the bottom of the castle, there are openings that make its appearance mysterious and mysterious.
The reason why this fort is called "Demon's Bed" is because the locals believed that demons sleep on the flat stones above the pillars.
