Exhibition: Female Empowerment

Good morning friends, the day we have been waiting for has finally arrived! Yesterday was the inauguration of the Female Empowerment exhibition in the Diversity Room. This space will be exposing our creations to the public for a week, both for Cubans and foreigners, since it is located in a very touristy area of ​​Havana. As I had explained to you in the preparations, we are located exactly on Amargura Street between San Ignacio and Mercader, so if you are nearby, do not hesitate to attend!

However, I must confess that my way there was a bit complicated because in the morning I had to work and unfortunately that delayed my arrival on time for the opening of the event at 12:00 pm. I arrived at 1 in the afternoon an hour late, fortunately the rest of the team was in charge of starting the event. With me were @saraleo with her yoga blankets for the live demonstration and @jordy0827, who would be attending with her young daughter and presenting a publication on the importance of staying active in old age to preserve physical and mental health.

Sin embargo debo confesar que mi camino hasta allí fue un poco complicado porque en la mañana tuve que trabajar y lamentablemente eso retrasó mi llegada a tiempo para la inauguración del evento a las 12:00 pm. Llegué a la 1:00pm de la tarde con una hora de retraso, afortunadamente el resto del equipo fue el encargado de iniciar el evento. Conmigo estaban @saraleo con sus mantas de yoga para la demostración en vivo y @jordy0827, quien asistiría con su hija pequeña y presentaría una publicación sobre la importancia de mantenerse activo en la vejez para preservar la salud física y mental.

When we finally arrived at the place I could see that at the entrance of the premises, we placed several brochures and pamphlets that talked about Hive, with the aim of letting all attendees know about this platform.

All the works, including mine, were already exhibited in the agreed spaces since Wednesday. The various works were carefully placed in designated areas. In addition, they were projected on screens and also on acrylic boards, accompanied by photographs. In the room the melody of electronic music that was part of the project presented by @theinfiltred was felt at all times.

Of course, we couldn't miss the spectacular photographs of @janetedita, which focused on @saraleo's entrepreneurship and her yoga classes.

We took the opportunity to witness Sari's impressive poses and joined her, following the rhythm of @theinfiltred music. Even the showroom manager joined us for a workout. It was a wonderful experience that we enjoyed and shared with everyone present.

Later, while we were tasting a delicious Cuban coffee, we took the opportunity to talk about our future projects and personal endeavors. I cannot fail to mention @viltredeltoro, one of the main promoters of this wonderful event. In addition to constantly encouraging us, he told us about his venture selling kekes, cakes and sweets filled with coconut and guava. I have had the pleasure of trying them all and they are simply delicious.

Always ready with his phone in hand, capturing videos and documenting every moment was @newnow497 with his wife @ylaffittep, who also showed her talent in crafts, especially in making children's clothing

Jordy0827's daughter took the opportunity to ride some small bicycles that were available on site, as part of another project related to day care centers, where the little ones are taught to ride a bicycle. María Claudia was saved and was also able to play! Ha ha!

We also had a group of young Hive enthusiasts present, who not only exhibited their own work, but also provided support to the other participants.

As you can see friends, it was a special day where we were able to share and show our creation, as well as talk with several people about this great ecosystem that, although for us it is like a family, for many it is unknown.
