The most beautiful sunrises at dawn in the Mediterranean are in Calabria. This is what not only the members of the Riviera association are convinced of, but they have also formalized in Lamezia the association, whose aim is to enhance and promote the natural beauty and tourism potential of the coastline of the central Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria.
The so-called Bay of Dawn, which runs from Nocera Terinese to Curinga, also encompasses the coastal hinterland with the villages that descend from the hills to the sea.
A large area from which you can admire spectacular sunrises that, according to the members of the association, have nothing to envy to the traditional sunrises and sunsets that can be seen from Santorini or Ibiza.
The long Calabrian summer with its particular climate, its wonderful beaches and its promontories ideal for watching the sunrise, allow to extend the vacation season from April-May to October, and then in late autumn, although when the cold and bad weather in northern Italy, on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria it is still possible to enjoy the warmth of the sun and the sea breeze.
The Calabrians themselves have realized that despite the centuries of history that have passed through their land and the archaeological wealth it possesses, Calabria's real industry is its natural heritage.
