Happy Friday! : ))
Have you identified any of these mushrooms? I'm certainly no expert, but I do know that a lot of mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest that look good, and taste good, are actually deadly to humans. You can't tell a mushroom is safe just by ensuring it looks, smells, and tastes appealing. I also know that the best forager isn't the one who eats the most safe mushrooms, it's the one who eats the least dangerous mushrooms.
As for the first photo, these are a common fungus found in the region. I have a bunch on my back lawn right now, and see them on walks all the time. They look a bit like the magical "liberty cap" mushroom, but they don't have a curvy stem, nor do they have a pointed cap, nor do they have black gills. This is a great guide for identifying liberty caps.
I like that last gray thing... is that a lichen?
I don't vote on content that burns BLURT, but I would otherwise have given this my usual 100%. Thanks for the post.
