Haha, ja der man könnte meinen der Don habe was gegen die Amerikaner per se wenn man seine Artikel so liest, oder ?

Nun dem ist keineswegs so, der Don hat die meisten Verwandten in Amiland, und er schätzt die Art wie kaltschnäuzig der normale Amerkanische Bürger (nein nicht Burger) versucht alle normalen Prinzipien auf den Kopf zu stellen, das gefällt dem Don schon.
Was ihm nicht gefällt ist diese Bande von extrem verblödeten politischen Führern die das Land vor die Hunde gehen lässt dem eigenen Profitstreben wegen, aber in D siehts ja nicht besser aus ist eh nur noch ne Kopie vom Big Buddy ;)

Heute aber mal keine Polit-Schelte sondern der Blick auf durchaus interessante aber trotzdem total den Elektroauto-Gedanken pervertierende Streiche aus dem Land der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten/Dummheiten.

Der Don hat mal wieder ein Youtube Video vorgeschlagen bekommen vom cleveren Algo, ein Video über einen freakigen Tesla der zwecks Reichweiten Optimierung einen Diesel zum aufladen der Baterrien benutzt.

Mal vorneweg Tesla baut schon geile Autos, die Ladetechnologie von denen ist mittlerweile mehr Standard als alles andere auf der Welt, die Reichweiten sind auch nicht von schlechten Eltern.
Aber dieses Konstrukt das stellt ja nun alles auf den Kopf was man gemeinhin mit Elektroautos in Verbindung bringt:

Klimafreundlich
Energieeffizient
ohne schädliche Abgase
Günstige laufende Kosten

hehe, ja mit diesem Setup seht es euch im Video selbst an geht es nicht zurück in die Zukunft sondern zurück in die Steinzeit, ein Diesel der mehr oder weniger ungefiltert direkt seine Abgase in die Umgebung entlässt ???

Äh, ja das war doch der Grund warum wir alle Elektro fahren sollten, war´s nicht so, hmmmmm ?

Range-extender gibt es ja schon länger im allgemeinen heißen die Fahrzeuge damit Hybrid-Fahrzeuge mit einem normalen kleinen Verbrenner meist Benziner und selten Diesel und einem Batterie-Elektromotorkit angeflanscht, aber hier jetzt komplett umgedreht.

Bei den Anschaffungskosten liegen die Hybrid´s meist niedriger als die Elektros, bei den Reichweiten naturgemäß drüber und bei den Unterhaltskosten entweder unter denen normaler Verbrenner oder knapp drüber, der Elektro liegt beim Unterhalt am niedrigsten weil er noch massiv subventioniert wird was allerdings gerade wegen der extrem ausufernden Stromkosten eher ein Auslaufmodell ist.

Normale moderne Diesel-Fahrzeuge sind sowohl was die Reichweite als auch die Unterhaltungskosten anbelangt wieder günstiger im aktuellen Vergleich.

Mich hat zwar die Bastelei begeistert, aber die Mathematik sagt mir das ist absoluter Bullshit auch wenn´s vielleicht Spaß macht.
Der Kollege hat 4319 Kilometer zurückgelegt so wie ich es verstanden habe mit einer vollen Batterie bei Abfahrt und keinem Charger stopp unterwegs, sondern normalen Tankstopps wegen dem Diesel nachtanken. Verbraucht hat er dabei 77 Galonen Diesel, 1 Galone ist 3,78541178 Liter macht also 291,5 Liter insgesamt Verbrauch Diesel beim Tesla hihi.

Das nun mal auf Verbräuche auf 100 Km runtergebrochen 291,5 / 43,19 = 6,75 Liter auf 100 Kilometer mit dem Tesla ja ein Bolide mit ca. 1000 PS Leistung und Allrad also 3 Motoren verbaut + dem Diesel.

Warum in aller Welt kauft sich jemand ein Elektroauto für weit über 120.000€ und baut zusätzlich einen Diesel ein um die Reichweite zu verlängern wenn er dabei immer noch 6,75 Liter Diesel pro 100 Kilometer verbraucht ?

Ist der Diesel also auch in den USA immer noch billiger als der Strom aus der Steckdose vom Atomkraftwerk ?
Oder war es nur wegen der Reichweite ? Wegen der Umweltbilanz war es sicherlich nicht zumindest nicht wenn man der Klimafreunde-Ideologie folgt.

Dem Don sein SUV, hihi wie sollte es auch anders sein, ein Diesel mit knapp unter 250 Pferdchen unter der Haube und einem permanenten Allrad wie bei dem Tesla allerdings trotzdem ca. 500 Kg leichter hat eine Reichweite von zwischen 1.000 und 1.400 Kilometer je nachdem wie unvernünftig der Don unterwegs ist. Der Wagen verbraucht also zwischen 6,5 und 4,5 Liter auf 100 Kilometer, hat 5 vollwertige Sitze und einen unschlagbaren Kofferraum, ist schwer Geländetauglich -und bequem- aber beschleunigt nicht ganz so schnell wie der Tesla (der Don braucht schon knapp 6 Sekunden von 0 auf 100) aber hey ist ja kein Rennwagen (hehe ein verkappter/getarnter schon) der Don liebt Überraschungen auf der Straße und die hat er häufig (für andere).

So spätestens jetzt nach diesen paar Zahlen sollte mir mal jemand erklären was der Videofilmer da treibt und warum er sich vorher einen Tesla gekauft hat wenn er lange Reichweiten braucht oder haben will und keinen eventuell teuren Strom in langen Aufenthalten tanken will ???

Ein anderes Auto wäre sicherlich günstiger gewesen, und wir wollen mal die Umweltbilanz nach dieser hier eingefügten Grafik ein wenig ausblenden, denn auch die hat so ihre Fehler in sich dort hat man nämlich die Motorenkonzepte und Gesamtkosten ein wenig blauaugig kalkuliert bei den Stromern fehlt die 2te Anschaffung nach Ablauf der Batterielebensdauer von ca. 8 Jahren was die Berechnung total auf den Kopf stellt zugunsten des oh Wunder Diesel ;)

Haha, yes you could think the Don has something against the Americans per se when you read his articles, right?

Well, that's not the case at all, the Don has most of his relatives in America, and he appreciates the way the normal American citizen tries to turn all normal principles upside down, the Don likes that.
What he does not like is this gang of extremely stupid political leaders who let the country go to jump over the edge because of their own profit motive, but in Germany it looks kind of the same , hence like close buddies do, no ?!

Today, however, no political scolding but the view of quite interesting but still totally perverting the electric car idea pranks from the land of opportunity / stupidity.

The Don has once again a Youtube Video suggested by the clever Algo, a video about a freaky Tesla for the purpose of range optimization a diesel to charge the Baterrien uses.

Let's start with Tesla already builds cool cars, the charging technology of which is now more standard than anything else in the world, the ranges are also not bad.
But this construct now turns everything upside down that is commonly associated with electric cars:

• Climate-friendly
• Energy efficient
• without harmful emissions
• Favourable running costs

hehe, yes with this setup see it for yourself in the video it's not back to the future but back to the stone age, a diesel that more or less unfiltered directly releases its exhaust into the environment ???

Uh, yes, that was the reason why we should all drive electric, wasn't it, hmmmmm ?

Range-extender exists for a long time, in general the vehicles are called hybrid vehicles with a normal small combustion engine mostly gasoline and rarely diesel and a battery electric motor kit flanged, but here now completely reversed.

In terms of purchase costs, the hybrids are usually lower than the electric ones, in terms of range they are naturally higher and in terms of maintenance costs they are either lower than those of normal internal combustion engines or just higher.

Normal modern diesel vehicles are both in terms of range and maintenance costs again cheaper in the current comparison.

I was excited about the tinkering, but the math tells me that's absolute bullshit even if it might be fun.

The colleague has covered 4319 kilometers as I understood it with a full battery at departure and no Charger stop on the way, but normal fuel stops because of the diesel refueling. Why on earth would anyone buy an electric car for well over 120,000€ and add a diesel to extend the range if it still consumes 6.75 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers?

Is the diesel also in the US still cheaper than the electricity from the socket of the nuclear power plant ?
Or was it only because of the range ? Because of the environmental balance it was certainly not at least not if one follows the climate friends ideology.

The Don's SUV, hihi how could it be otherwise, a diesel with just under 250 horsepower under the hood and a permanent all-wheel drive like the Tesla but still about 500 kg lighter has a range of between 1,000 and 1,400 kilometers depending on how unreasonable the Don is on the road. The car consumes between 6.5 and 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers, has 5 full seats and an unbeatable trunk, is heavily off-road capable -and comfortable- but accelerates not quite as fast as the Tesla (the Don needs almost 6 seconds from 0 to 100) but hey is not a race car (hehe a disguised / camouflaged already) the Don loves surprises on the road and he has them often (for others).

So at the latest now after these few numbers someone should explain to me what the videographer is doing and why he bought a Tesla before if he needs or wants to have long ranges and does not want to refuel a possibly expensive electricity in long stays ???.

Another car would have been surely more favorable, and we want to fade out times the environmental balance after this graphic inserted here a little, because also that has so its errors in itself there one calculated namely the engine concepts and total costs a little blue-eyed with the Stromern is missing the 2nd acquisition after expiration of the battery life of approx. 8 years which puts the calculation totally on the head in favor of the oh miracle Diesel ;)

So guys I ´ll let you stuck with your thoughts on that, and I wil stick with my Diesel SUV as long as the political elites and governments in that countries where I´m running around will let me, or if not I will pack it and bring it to somewhere else where they let my drive it anyway I´m not even close to 10% of its operational lifetime ;)
