Allow me to start the series of photos about the Churches of Iceland with one photo that has quite deservedly taken its place on my wall.

During a tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west of Iceland, I couldn't help but stop the car and photograph this beauty. I'm not much of a believer, but churches have always been a favorite target of my camera.

Even when they are in such a beautiful landscape, when the peaks of the Snæfellsjökull volcano are visible behind them, the impression is complete.
