The last amateur road cycling race of the season 2024 [B&W PHOTOSTORY - 12 Photos]

This week I return with my Bikend initiative, taking inspiration from the photos I took during an amateur cycling race held in the province of Massa-Carrara. The competition was the last of the amateur road cycling season organized in this area. The route consisted of a circuit to be repeated several times, and a finish line after a climb of about 3 kilometers. I took the last shots some hundreds meters before the finish banner.

As usual, I reached the place on my bike and moved several times to portray the athletes from various angles. By now, I know the most suitable areas for this purpose well enough, so I was able to go to the final climb a little in advance. At home, once I had collected the best photos, I edited them creating a monochrome version that I show in this post. I modified lights and shadows, the brightness, added some vignettings and finished with the "signature". Like other occasions, the result is certainly not perfect, but I think it's suitable for the purpose. I hope you like it.
