I have some orange pinwheels that I'd like to show you. The orange pinwheel, which is described as Marasmius siccus, is a small orange fungus in the family Marasmiaceae. I found the mushrooms near Blang Kolam's twin waterfalls in Sidomulyo Forest, North Aceh Regency.
The constant splashing of the waterfall makes the environment surrounding it always damp, and you don't have to wait for the rainy season to go mushroom hunting there.
There are many enormous mossy coral rocks there, and the area is continually wet from the waterfall's incessant splashing. The twigs or leaves that fall on the rocks become moist; this type of environment permits the orange pinwheel and several other fungal species to grow naturally at any time.
