Salted Peanuts
I've cooled off the Keto diet for the past couple of weeks to give my body a bit of a rest. I'm not eating utter garbage, of course, but I am currently indulging in some non-keto stuff. It's amazing, I can already feel the difference. For one, I've stopped losing weight. I'm not gaining either, I'm just stable, which is great.
I've had a burger, chocolates, bread, white rice, potatoes and sugar. I've basically had everything I gave up during my diet. I'm not bingeing though - that would be catastrophic haha.
One thing that hasn't changed much is that I'm snacking on nuts. I love nuts. Sadly my favourite nuts, peanuts, are the least "healthy" of the bunch. Brazil nuts and pecan nuts are way healthier and I do eat them too, but peanuts just taste 100% better especially when salted. I think it's the combination of salt and fat that makes it such a winning combo. It's similar to why salted butter and salty fried things taste so good.
Peanuts also seem to be right on top of the allergy list. Most people that are allergic to nuts are allergic to peanuts specifically, or at least experience a stronger reaction to it than other nuts. I have no idea why that is. Thank goodness I don't have a nut allergy. I don't know if I'd be able to cope.
Peace & Love,
Adé
