Monkeys have always fascinated me. I guess most people are fascinated by monkeys and their antics. However, even when a monkey minding his own business is exciting to watch. Although, I titled this post as ' Monkey Story', this is not a true story. This post is my story put together from a bunch of of pictures I took a few years ago. I have hundreds of monkey pictures😂!!
I see no evil! We monkeys are very wise, we mind our own business. We have no worldly desires like the hoomans. We live life in the forest far from the Human madness. Regardless, our paths do crisscross. They love trespassing into our territory but take to task humans who trespass into their property.
I speak no evil, I just stuff my mouth with leaves when I have to say words that are not right. I have an excellent control over my mouth and I don't spill words that hurt or cause trouble. Gossip isn't my thing. I use it just to feed myself.
I am hopeful, I always think positive thoughts and look forward to great things in life. Can't you see hope shining bright in my eyes? Maybe I am just dreaming about fruits, but these are good thoughts, right?
I don't worry, this is just a facial expression which I have learned from hoomans. I learned this form the humans who come and sleep under my tree. They seem rather pathetic, anxious, worried and troubled in life. I wonder why?
You think I am sad? No, I am not, I am in deep thought. I am like a monk meditating on life - yeah you've guessed it right, I got my name from this. I research the food I eat, I ensure that it is pure /organic. I don't want to have any of the food humans eat and yet they do leave a lot behind and defile our taste buds.
We are curious by nature and we do check out the stuff humans leave behind. Our curiosity has taught us so many things yet it could be the death of us. Maybe, we do have a slight addiction to soda and fast food. The stuff the humans thoughtfully leave behind for us has got us into this state.
Fun and games are what we are made for, we hang around the forest all the time. We swing by our friends as we enjoy our food. All play and no work make monks dull; so we swing around a lot, from one branch to another and unto the ends of the forests. We have developed strong upper limbs but our lower limbs are equally strong. We jump up and down and fool around all day long and have athletic events all year round.
Sometime we sulk and have evil thoughts too, but our naughtiness and playfulness finally catches up with us and we are back to being monks and saints.
There are days when we snatch food and stuff from humans, but then they ask for it. Left on our own we are saints on four legs.
Just watch us and learn to laugh. Learn from us how to play and not take yourselves too seriously. Life is fun, don't make it miserable, this is just our short advice to you.
Take each day as it comes. Don't worry be happy. Every trouble you face will become a thing of the past, life each day happily.
Thanks for stopping by, I had fun putting this post together, hope you enjoyed it as well!
