A terrible fire has occurred in Charkankra

A terrible fire has occurred in Charkankra Union of Companyganj Upazila of Noakhali. Meanwhile, the goods of 8 shops were burnt to ashes. The victims claimed that there was a total loss of around 40 lakh rupees.

The fire incident took place in the new market area of Ward No. 6 of the union on Wednesday morning. However, there was no casualty in the fire.

The establishments affected by the fire are Mamun Cold Corner, Ripon's Tea Shop, Rubel Cold Corner, Parvez Tea Shop, Pavel's Tea Shop, Sohag Fall Bitan, Awal Cycle Mart and Shuku Mia Ato and Cycle Mart.

According to local sources, the people around saw the fire burning in the market while returning from Fajr prayer after Sehri. Seeing the fire, people came forward and tried to control it and informed the fire service. But local people could not control the intensity of the fire. Companyganj fire service members reached the spot and brought the fire under control. But before that, 8 shops, valuable goods and cash in the shops were burnt to ashes in a terrible fire.

Four committees have been approved, including the district committee of the Chhatra League, which has been leaderless for almost two years in Noakhali.

Bangladesh Chhatra League Central Executive Committee President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan approved these committees. The remaining three approved committees are Noakhali Sadar Upazila, Noakhali Municipality and Noakhali Government College Branch.

These committees were approved for the next one year at the organization pad on Friday night.

On Saturday afternoon, the leaders of the newly announced committee paid tribute to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Mujib Chatter in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office.

Among the four approved committees, Noakhali district committee has Mohammad Rubaiyat Rahman Arafat as president and Md. Shamchul Huda Bappike General Secretary; Noakhali Sadar upazila committee made Ali Azgar president and Asibul Hossain Shanto general secretary; Noakhali Municipal Committee. Mahibul Islam Saikat has been made president and Khaled Mosharraf Sanjay as general secretary and Abu Naeem Tanim as president and Omar Farooq Swapan as general secretary in Noakhali Government College Committee.

A total of 25 names including president, general secretary, 13 vice presidents, five joint general secretaries and five organizational secretaries have been announced in Noakhali district committee.

In the other three committees, the names of the president and the general secretary have been announced.

Reference is made to the expired committee of Noakhali District Chhatra League on May 14, 2022 and Senbagh Upazila Committee, Senbagh Municipal Committee, Senbagh Government College Committee, Noakhali Sadar Upazila Committee, Noakhali Municipal Committee, Noakhali Government College Committee and Sonapur Degree College Committee announced by the district committee in May of the same year. The Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Chhatra League declared dissolved. Since these committees did not exist for almost two years, the organizational activities of the Chhatra League came to a standstill in these units, which became leaderless. Disappointment arose among the activists.

After the announcement of the new committee, there was excitement among the leaders and workers of different levels of BCL.
