I have been watching this series 100, it is a fictional story, where the Earth had been blasted a 100 years ago with nuclear missiles and there is radiation all over killing people, to escape that people have escaped into the space. After 100 years when the spaceships start falling short of their own resources, they plan to send down 100 people back to Earth to see if Earth life has become sustainable or not. When these 100 people come down who are mostly all young guys, they find out that there are people already living on Earth and from there on it is a struggle of survival of the fittest and there are wars between the clans. It's a very long series, I have finished 2 seasons of it and a long way to go hence I do not know how they will end up, but I am sure ending will be all good, like typical movies where in the end is all happy ending.
It's a fictional story, but to think of it, we have been doing these things since generations. All the time we are at War, over something or the other, sometimes it is about the land, and sometimes for resources, but we keep fighting. In real life I will not say that we are even doing it for survival. We are doing it for greed of power. And like the series, in real we may not have a happy ending. It is possible that some day or the other our Planet may go through some crises which will challenge the entire existence and we may have to find ways and means of surviving, or we may not at all. We may have to go underground also and again at large people with money power will have their places set and rest all will get wiped off.
It may not happen in the next few 100 years but over 1000s of years it may happen, and it will all be because of our never-ending greed and all the actions that we take to destroy our planet. Then what, does humanity end there? or a few survive and life begins back from there. The few who will survive may not be the best ones, so when they start all over it again, the story is not going to be any different. The way we humans have become I feel that even if there will be just be 2 people on this entire planet then between the 2 also there will be a war.
When I read the old scriptures, wars have been a part of us right from the time we have known about the existence of humanity, they are still going on and they may go on forever till this planet survives. The fact is that there is so much for everyone here that there is no need of war and at the end of it, all will be left here only when we die, no one can take even the smallest of thing from here except for their Karmas.

My perspective is this:
All wars are created for self interests and history is a bunch of lies. (He who controls the past controls the present).
Humans are intrinsically peaceful by nature, but by giving us scriptures and history which show the opposite we are more accepting of our current state of endless war.
Programs like 100 are designed to subtly warp our perceptions in this direction. Not that it isn't fun to watch. Am sure it is. But don't be fooled by its message. In my childhood I was forced to read Lord of the Flies because it offers this very same message.
War is very unnatural and I believe there have been long periods in history (during which the oligarchy did not control us) when there was perpetual peace. These periods have been erased from our history books for obvious reason.
War = fear, control, profit
That's so well said. I too believe that we humans do not want the wars. These Wars are a interest of only the few and they keep adding fuel to the fire. Also these kind of programs start playing on your mind. Without any exaggeration this is my experience when I started watching these series. The war scenes started coming in my dreams. Every night I have a dream and they guide me on the path of my life. For few days I stopped getting my regular dreams, as if my connection with my higher-self was breaking up. I realized that this series had caught up on my mind too much and then I stopped watching it and I could get back to my normal self.
Imagine when this programming happens for generations, how much can it destroy our system.
