Clumsy-Teenager Syndrome

in pain •  2 years ago

This is one of the reasons why I hate growing up. Ever since my dear friend, puberty hit me, I've come more and more clumsy by the day. I started off by just hitting my shoulders against things, like the door, fridge, table, etc.

Yesterday was one of the clumsiest injuries yet. I slammed the car door onto my middle finger! Even though it hurt like hell, I managed to keep my cool since I was just about to go into a shop. Luckily, I didn't break anything, it's just so cool how our body makes the injured area swell.

My parents keep telling me that I've always had a high pain tolerance. Once I broke my collarbone and left it untended for a long time, we only realised when we took an x-ray for something totally different.

Was a fractured clavicle - you were very young and it healed itself. Apart from the initial pain of falling, you never complained about it after. Strange kid! ;-)
