Normally I prefer to go to the store and buy things. I would like to see it in real, feel it and then only buy it. But this time since I had a packed schedule with lot of travels while I was in India, I preferred to do online shopping. I ended up buying almost everything online this time and majorly from Amazon. It was very convenient and easy exchange and return policy also. However, one item I was very dissatisfied with.
I ordered some sets of pillow covers and I only received part order. I left a complaint, feedback everything to the seller but the seller has not responded. Now it's almost 2 weeks to that and yet I have no response or update from the seller. Also, the product sent is different from the one in the picture. Such experiences then make me think if I should or I should not indulge in online shopping. It's convenient but then when you face such a situation, it's difficult to nail down the issue online. The package shows delivered; I raised multiple the issue multiple times mentioning that I only received part package but seems like no one is listening. Thankfully the cost was not much so I assume I have to write it off as bad debts.
Sometime back it had happened with one more product that I had ordered online, they showed something different and then send a very low-quality product charging a premium price. When I raised the concern they refunded me the money back, but this time I have no response from the seller.
Online shopping is a convenience and I do understand that such instances are rare but even one time experience leaves bitterness. No one wants to lose money like that. When such instances happen, you feel cheated. We buy from reputed sources thinking that they will be safe, but yet there is always some level of uncertainty in online shopping.
