A few days back I ordered some foldable luggage racks. I wanted to place them in all the bedrooms of my new home. I rent out my place so when guests come it is convenient for them to place their luggage. There were 2 options on Amazon that I found one were the metal ones and the other wooden ones. I went in for wooden ones thinking they would be better then the metals ones. But when the package arrived and I opened and checked I found that except for 1 other all pieces had some or the other damage.
There were a total of 5 pieces I ordered and of which 4 were damaged. Actually it is not even a damage it is poor finishing of the product. These racks are not even cheap, they are quite expensive and for the price I paid I was very disappointed with the quality. The whole problem was that I could not even return it back as I had no time, I had to travel back in 2 days time and before that I had to place these racks at the new home which is again at a distance of 2 hours from where I ordered the package. So, it all got complicated and I had to deal with the defective pieces.
Though I did raise a complaint on the order on Amazon, but it's been 2 weeks and there is no response from the dealer. After coming to Muscat, this thing slipped off my mind and I could not even follow up. Today morning it got to my mind and now I am going to follow up with them. I am not sure what action will they take as return is now out of question.
You can see how the wood is chipped off from the corners and there are so many scratches. It looks like a second hand piece to me.
I ordered of 2 different types and all of them had some or the other defect with poor finishing. I clicked pictures immediately on opening so that the dealer would not have any excuse of telling me that it may be damaged by me.

That's the irony of online shopping sometimes you get such defective goods and you are stuck with not many options. I had no time to do the back and forth, as it is the delivery was delayed. Now let's see what the dealer has to say.
