This morning I stumbled upon this beautiful Property on Lake Osborne for sale in Upstate New York. 🇺🇸

Only $49,900 USD

Fish present in Lake Osborne include largemouth bass, sunshine bass, butterfly peacock bass, black crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, catfish, and Mayan cichlids.

Think I’ll take a drive down to check it out.

These are photos from the summer. There is lots of snow there now so I will definitely need to take my snowshoes with me.

11 acre Secluded Forest Land for Sale on Osborne Lake, DeKalb, NY! Private Ideal Location for Off-Grid Cabin, Hunting and Fishing!

This 11 acres is protected from any unwanted traffic for miles in every direction. It boasts one of the top views in all of St Lawrence County sitting 357 feet above Osborne Lake. Normally that would be a problem but Mother Nature made a nice approach in the form of a rock shelf switchback that takes you down to the water's edge.

You will be one of the only four owners with access to the lake for your enjoyment. This lot hasn't been used in over 40+ years and has a tremendous hardwood canopy and low undergrowth. There are plenty of rocky and soil/moss-covered areas for the perfect setting you have pictured in your mind. This has formed a perfect habitat for all the animals NYS has to offer for small and big game. If you would like to disappear from sight this is the one but have peace of mind your phone will still work at full capacity. property is accessed by a private and gated right of way with only 3 land owners who are granted this by their deeds. the access road is 1 mile back on a maintained roadway by the land owners. there are several building sites or if you really want to be tucked away you could go down one rock shelf on the lakeside for ultimate seclusion.

Very interesting property! I'm not familiar with acres, so I had to convert them into square meters to get the feeling. It turns out that it's 44,515 m2. That's quite, and only about $1.12 per square meter. It's the price I would hardly find even over here in the most deserted areas.
The only cons, from my point of view, and from the attached photos, is that the plot seems quite hilly and rocky. For me, that would mean harder to find a spot to place the house or cabin, with most likely unavoidable mining (of the rocks) for proper foundations.
On the other hand, the forest and the vicinity of the lake, speak to me that the soil must be of a good quality and probably quite fertile that would be a pro for me, as I would be looking for a spot where I can place some garden.
However, it seems worthy to take a look!

Yes ... some challenges but the area is beautiful .... so close to Wine Country also.

Yes, it really looks nice! And I forgot to mention (in my earlier replay), what I find as a huge plus, the possibility to fish. It's a possibility to have a fresh meal on the table every day.
If I live somewhere around (US or even Canada), I would surely be intrigued to go and see that property in person.
