This is the other part of Odessa, the other photos I want to share.
I really like the passage and the city garden, how many times have I been sitting in the city garden to drink a coffee.
The statue is Katharina the great or Katharina II. She was the daughter of the family Dukes of Anhalt-Zerbst and married the Russian Zar. She became Zar after her husband died and she wanted to do something like Zar Peter did, who built Saint Petersburg. So she gave the order to build Odessa.
It is a very interesting story, she was also the one that wrote a manifest to invite new immigrants to Russia. My family was one of those immigrants that moved in that time to Russia. This is a long story, I don't want to write about it at the time. But on my Hive Blog I have a introduction you can read.
