NPTT Journal Episode 8 - A call for help. VMWare Lock

As much as I like to do things on my own, sometimes I have to resolve myself that we need one another’s support to make great things happen.

I need help removing lock files on my VM so I can launch VMWare. My VM has not shut down properly during power failure. This VM has an IPFS node, which I would like to continue to use, and revive those broken-blurt-links. In the future there could be some use in using IPNS links for when we need to update links from permanent posts like Blurt. As an example, using IPNS in a blurt post, I could publish a livefeed stream of my farm animals over Starlink and create live events and interact live over Blurt when I go feed them. That is one of my many incentives in reviving my VM machine.

I could tell you the why (See Episode 2) I need assistance to fix up my computer but at the end it is just another step in unwinding the chaos of this decade.

So if one of you is familiar with removing manually lock files for VMWARE after power failure please assist. I reward with $ManHour tokens over Hive-Engine.

Did you know @frankbacon that Aaron’s father has been a VM geek for over a decade lol!

I suspect now power failure caused bad clusters on my PCIe cards. Host would not boot consistently. So I rebuild NUC to factory settings. Now copying my VM files on another media for later use… some specific files won’t copy, I suspect there bad clusters.

Bad clusters or transfer computer that lacks memory for the job on that file?

Please write a post about those rights, I'll reblurt it and read it. I'm interested in that. Some brief of those ideas will be good.
