British Columbia runs out of gas.

in nogas •  3 years ago  (edited)

No more gasoline in British Columbia.

People forced to walk for miles to buy groceries only to find out there are no more groceries.

Don’t panic. This is just temporary.

Rumours of gas shortages caused by the flooding have sparked panic buying in parts of B.C. But as John Hua reports, officials have the same message they had for food: everyone calm down.

The Officials have lots of food and gas.

Yeah. Same here

This is bad. Ambulance, firefighters, and law enforcement can be seriously affected in the work if this situation is not resolved in a week.
Do the oil refinery company in Canada encounter a problem that will justify this situation?
Is it caused by international trade instability occurring worldwide since the beginning of the pandemic?

Many factors, but probably someone is hoarding the gasoline.

Just after it happened to us in the Uk.

This is mostly the result of roads and railways being destroyed in the floods. No way to get the gas in. And people hoarding gasoline.

This is very sad news because if the flow of gas from this gas mine is not stopped then the administration and fire service may face various challenges and also various catastrophes and economic catastrophes in the country. I think this is an important post. To present up front

Yeah everything is very difficult if it would flood like what happens here in my country @offgridlife so it is better to stockpile on necessities if there would be such an inconvenient event.

The only problem with stockpiling is that it all gets flooded and destroyed… people stockpile frozen meat, the power goes out and their back up power generators get flooded, everything is destroyed. Stock piling gasoline is very dangerous. Maybe it’s better to live upon the mountains. But then there are the forest fires. Better to have very few belongings.

Yes those are the drawbacks so it might be better to just live where you can't get affected like places that gets flooded frequently, polluted areas, and things like that.
