The non-fungible token (NFT) fever continues. Moreover, Ghozali Everyday has proven his success in selling his selfie photo collection on OpenSea by earning IDR 1.5 billion.
NFT sold on platforms such as OpenSea is also increasingly diverse, not limited to digital works, but has expanded to physical objects as did Agus Artemis. The Cryptoiz founder sells a modified Kawasaki W175 motorcycle.
He said the motorbike was auctioned for 20 Ethereum (ETH) or equivalent to IDR 712.5 million based on the latest ETH value. Meanwhile, the price of the motorbike is based on the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) or the official retail price is IDR 30 million.
"I tried to offer 20 Ethereum. (Offer) was only yesterday and may run until next week because it's an auction system, on OpenSea,"
As explained above that he sold the NFT along with the motorbike physically. So the NFT that he sells is a license or smart contract for the ownership of a custom motorcycle that he makes to the buyer.
At first he modified his Kawasaki W175 with a Bitcoin theme for the community he founded, namely Cryptoiz. The reason for selling it on the NFT platform is to educate the public that NFT doesn't have to be just digital works.
"Well, I'm trying to educate the public that NFT doesn't have to sell digital things such as designs, audio, but they can be linked to physical objects," he said.
He continued, of course, not all physical objects deserve to be traded on the NFT platform. Physical objects to be sold must have a certain value, such as history, uniqueness, background, or who owns it.
