Bitcoin Didi Taihuttu family decided to settle in Portugal. The 0% tax on Bitcoin in this country is the reason Didi moved to the homeland of the footballer Christiano Ronaldo.
However, before deciding to settle in Portugal, there was a story quite reckless from Didi. Medio 2017, this Dutch family made an extreme decision by selling all their possessions into Bitcoin. Didi is not alone, but his decision is also supported by his wife and three children.

They sell a number of assets ranging from businesses, homes, even to their shoes. Since then Didi and his family have started living on the 'streets' in a number of countries.
Quoting CNBC International, Tuesday (15/2/2022), they have traveled the world for the last five years and spent time in 40 countries.

Of the dozens of countries they have visited, they chose Portugal to stay. Because the country is one of the last places in Europe with a 0% tax on Bitcoin.

"You don't pay capital gains tax or anything in Portugal for cryptocurrencies," Taihuttu said.

"It's a very beautiful Bitcoin paradise," he added.

The Taihuttu family did not reveal the exact amount of their cryptocurrency. But Taihuttu says he protects the family's crypto wealth in secret vaults on four different continents. Their crypto possibilities are big enough to send five family members flying across the globe.

The Bitcoin family is not alone in moving to the Iberian Peninsula. The 2021 population census in Portugal shows that the number of foreign residents has increased by 40% in the last decade.
