Drena De Niro (56) is an American actress and filmmaker who is the daughter of Diahnne Abbott and Robert De Niro after their marriage in 1976. She was named after a river called Drina that is featured in the book "The Bridge on the Drina" by a Nobel-winning writer Ivo Andric. She is proficient in martial arts, muay thai and yoga.
Drena is a New York City resident and in July 2023, De Niro announced that her 19 year old son Leandro had died due to accidental fentanyl overdose. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department told NBC News that on Sunday, July 2, at approximately 2:23 p.m. local time, that police received a 911 call. When they arrived to the location, Leandro “was found unconscious, unresponsive and was pronounced deceased” by Emergency Medical Services at the scene.
Robert with so much tragedy and having just had a new baby daughter Gia with his partner Tiffany Chen, it was revealed she was diagnosed with Bell's palsy after giving birth to their baby.
