WordPress Content Can Now Be Timestamped On Ethereum
A plugin for the WordPress web publishing platform now enables users to timestamp content on the Ethereum blockchain. The plugin can help with copyright issues, proof of who created a piece of content, and to reassure readers it has not been altered. New plugin was published by amsterdam-based WordProof at the London BlockDown 2020. Timestamping is important because it provides a unique fingerprint, or hash, for the latest version of the content which has been added to the blockchain. Mike Novogratz: Mastercard, Visa & American Express Will Allow Crypto Within A Year
In an recent interview with Bloomberg Billionaire investor Mike Novogratz said he doesn't see Bitcoin as a currency atleast in the next five years rather he doubles down on the digital currency as digital gold which is just going to keep higher. He added more and more people are going to want it as some portion of their portfolio. Novogratz said coronavirus pandemic has accelerated crypto adoption and according to him, as PayPal has already announced support for cryptocurrencies other companies like Mastercard, Visa, and American Express will follow suit “within a year.” Read Full on bloomberg
Russia Will Pilot Digital Currency by End of 2021
The head of Russia’s Central Bank has said that a digital version of its national currency, the ruble, could be ready for a pilot launch at the end of next year. Elvira Nabiullina made the announcement at an online conference where she also covered inflation, borrowing interest rates and foreign exchange sales. She said that a consultation would take place first before piloting such a digital asset with a limited number of users. This would all take place by the end of 2021, she added. West appears to be convinced that bitcoiners are capable of bringing true liberation and freedom to America and the rest of the world. Jack Ma Says Digital Currencies Could Redefine Meaning of Currency
Alibaba founder Jack Ma underscored the importance of digital currencies during his speech at the second Bund Financial Summit that was held in Shanghai on Oct. 24. The second richest person in China opined that digital currencies have the potential to redefine money in the same way Apple’s has redefined mobile phones. The billionaire is convinced that cryptocurrency will be able to gain traction in developing countries. Number Of Ethereum Addresses Holding Between $1 And $10 Grown To 15 Million
According to The number of Ethereum (ETH) addresses holding between $1 and $10 has hit a cool 15 million. This number is almost twice the value of Bitcoin addresses of 7.55 million holding a similar amount. This past week, PayPal offering crypto services as well as news of the company considering the acquisition of several crypto companies including BitGo.
