SushiSwap’s Project Lead, 0xMaki, Revealed DEX Plans For 2021

SushiSwap’s project lead, 0xMaki, revealed DeFi plans for 2021 in an exclusive chat. Andre Cronje of Yearn.finance said that the two projects (sushiswap and Yearn finance) will merge. 0xMaki also said that Sushiswap would release BentoBox in 2021. BentoBox is a protocol that will allow SushiSwap users to borrow or lend or leverage with less risk. Charles d’Haussy, ConsenSys’ Hong Kong-based director of strategic initiatives predicts that the staking capital of the world will definitely be in Asia in 2021 with ETH2.0, Filecoin, Tezos. CBDC will also keep pace with Stablecoins as most Asian banks are tokenizing currencies. Traditional brokers will lose market to crypto exchanges and corporate borrowing to fund the operations of their trading activities will grow against reputations of large companies. Digital Asset Manager Grayscale Now Has $16.4 Billion AUM

Grayscale Investments reached $16.4 billion from $13 billion last week in assets under management (AUM). Bitcoin remains its largest holdings with $14.1 billion in Grayscale Bitcoin Trust. Its Ethereum Trust is now worth $1.81 million. Grayscale also has trusts for Litecoin ($125 million), bitcoin cash ($70.7 million, ethereum classic ($67.7 million) and others with less significant holdings like XRP, XLM and zcash. United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) appoints Elad Roisman as chairman according to Commissioner Hester Peirce aka “Crypto Mom” in a tweet. This followed soon after former Chairman Jay Clayton announced that he would depart from SEC on 23 December. Many believe the new chair is friendly towards the crypto community. CashZone Now Allow Users Across U.K. To Sell Bitcoin From 16000 ATMs

Cashzone automated teller machines (ATMs) across the U.K. now allow Bitcoin holders to sell their bitcoin from 16,000 under terms of agreement with Bitcoinpoint. BitcoinPoint CEO Benoit Marzouk said the ATMs is a response to make using Cryptocurrency easy for non tech people. After registering, Cashzone users will enter an amount to withdraw on the BitcoinPoint website and scan a QR code. Users would get an SMS message with a pin code they can enter at a Coinzone ATM. Ethereum 2.0 Deposits Surpass 2 Million ETH Locked In Proof-of-stake

More than two million ETH is locked in ethereum 2.0 Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain since it went live on December first. The deposit contract currently holds 2,010,466 eth with more staking deposits incoming. The deposits accounts for about 2% of ethereum’s total supply which is now locked out of circulation for at least two years. Kraken and Bitcoin Suisse will help with analysis of the deposit process.
