FTX Crypto Exchange Lists Coinbase Futures Contracts Towards Upcoming IPO

FTX Cryptocurrency Exchange listed futures contracts of Coinbase towards its upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The contracts saw a trading volume of about $2.1 million within a few hours of listing. The pre-IPO contracts allow traders to speculate on the listing price on a stock exchange. Hence, the contracts track the market capitalization of Coinbase. The contracts also support margin trading, with up to 5x leverage. Read Full on The Block.

CTO At Glassnode Says Bitcoin’s Demand is More Than Supply

On-chain analyst and CTO at Glassnode, Rafael Schultze-Kraft, says that Bitcoin’s demand is underestimated compared to the supply. Kraft estimated that the number of Bitcoin addresses that have never spent BTC or probably lost BTC is about 5.7 million BTC which might never be sold. Data shows that 78% (14.4 million) BTC is held in illiquid platforms, and miners that hold large amounts of Bitcoin are not interested in selling. However, only 12% is liquid. Huobi Plans To Return To United States After Stopping Operations in 2019

Huobi Group, owner of Huobi exchange, plans to return to the United States with a new license after stopping operations in the United States in late 2019. Huobi looks to open a trust company business in the country. Huobi Trust obtained a Trust Company License in Nevada. Lan Jianzhong, Huobi, pointed out that Houbi Trust is yet to start any related trust services hence investors are advised to pay heed to caution while dealing with the company shares. Tweets Containing Bitcoin Keyword Surges To 43% In A Week

Data from research shows that the volume of daily tweets containing the keyword “Bitcoin” increased by 43% , from 242,180 to 428,280 in a week. Ethereum also saw a notable 18% jump in the volume of “Ethereum” Keyword in a week. The high levels of the term “Bitcoin” seen in tweets coincided with same week Bitcoin broke its all-time high price of $20,000. Read Full on The Block.

Italian Banking Association Begins Experimentation Of Digital Euro On The Blockchain

The Italian Banking Association (ABI) which comprises of 700 banking institutions, has began experimentation with digital euro on Blockchain Technology. European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said that in the near 2 to 4 years, money will be more digital. Hence, digitalization of Euro on the Blockchain is a progressive move towards this plan. Pantera Capital CEO Says Paypal Absorbing More Than 100 Percent Of Bitcoin

Dan Morehead, the CEO of Pantera Capital, mentioned in an interview that PayPal is taking up more than 100 percent of all the newly mined Bitcoin. Paypal is instrumental to taking Bitcoin mainstream. The Crypto volumes on PayPal will go up when users start spending coins within it in 2021. A survey showed that over 65 percent of the users are ready to use the feature. Ford Discovers Pairing Blockchain And GeoFencing Will Improve Urban Air Quality

Ford, vehicle giant, after a 3-year study said that genesis technologies like the blockchain and geofencing can work side-by-side with plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles (PHEVs) to improve air quality in cities. This study was performed in London, Cologne and Valencia on how PHEVs can improve air quality.
