India Surpasses China In Peer To Peer Bitcoin Volume
India is rising as a bitcoin hot spot after their Supreme Court overturned a central bank diktat. India and China now both account for 33% of bitcoin peer to peer (p2p) trading volumes according to Arcane Research. India however has more recently briefly overtaken China in a sign that the crypto economy is starting to boom in the country. Trading volumes there have shot up 87% since the central bank diktat was overturned in March 2020, making India a key region of growth. Read Full on Trustnodes.
Bondly To Be First DeFi Project Enabled On Cardano Blockchain
Blockchain engineering company âIOHKâ, the builders of blockchain platform Cardano, today announced that Bondly will be the first DeFi project to be enabled on Cardano as part of the roll-out of the platformâs highly anticipated smart contract functionality that will allow decentralized apps (DApps) to be built on the network. The author of âRich Dad Poor Dadâ, Robert Kiyosaki, has expressed via Twitter, that he is glad he bought Bitcoin (BTC). According to Mr. Kiyosaki, Bitcoin will soon be valued at $50,000 due to an influx of institutional money. Furthermore, buying Bitcoin below $20k would probably be a good idea given that the American economy is in trouble. Bitcoin Number Of Non-Zero Addresses Just Reached An All-Time high
As of Dec. 12, the number of Bitcoin wallets containing a non-zero balance of Bitcoin reached its all time high of 32,925,521. It shows that more users are creating wallets and actually depositing Bitcoin on them. This highlights that users are interacting with the network. According to Chief Economist of Chainalysis, Bitcoin wallets that hold over 1,000 Bitcoin also increased by 17% in 2020, pointing to increased intention by retail and institutional investors. IOTA Unveiled Chrysalis Testnet Will Be Launched Today
In its latest tweet, the IOTA Foundation has announced that the launch of the Chrysalis testnet is going to take place on Dec. 14. Chrysalis is the term that is used to define a series of âmost promisingâ upgrades that are going to make the network enterprise-ready before the eventual launch of the IOTA 2.0 mainnet (a.k.a. Fidelity CEO Praises Bitcoin In An Interview With Barronâs Magazine
The CEO of one of Wall Streetâs largest firms, Fidelity Investments, Abigail Johnson recently took an interview with Barronâs Magazine. She stated that the mutual fund giantâs custody business around bitcoin has been âincredibly successfulâ and has a âtremendous pipeline.â Fidelity, which began a bitcoin mining operation in 2016, has been working on connecting the legacy world with the future of cryptos. Every Norwegian Citizen Owns Over $2 In Bitcoin
Unearthed by redditor u/ThiaSCSGOSkins, who seems to be the first to investigate this matter, the citizens of Norway own Bitcoin via a state fund. This fund is capitalized by excess oil sector profits that is invested on behalf of Norwayâs citizens. So, although every Norwegian citizen may not directly own Bitcoin, they own it through this oil profit fund known as the Oljefondet.
