In Luke 12:13-15, Jesus is approached with a redistribution request. “Master, speak to my brother that he divideth the inheritance with me,” a man asks. Jesus replied, “Man, who made me a judge or divider over you?” Then he rebuked the petitioner for his envy.

I've always found it odd that some view Jesus as a socialist. As if there isn't a difference between choosing to give from your heart and supporting government forced annexation and redistribution. But then I suppose it explains while so many people seem to view socialism in a positive light these days. They don't know what charity really means.
