This is my second article on blurt.blog and I feel more confident writing this as compared to my first where I was full of doubt and didn't know where to begin since I was still trying to understand what makes this platform tick and all.
Though I'm still in the learning process, I've begun to understand certain things better including the concept of #blurt as a cryptocurrency and #blurtpower as used for daily activities on this platform. The concept of delegation is still new to me as well but I'm gradually grasping the concept via research and asking questions where necessary.
While writing my first article, I was initially confused on how to add the links into texts and had to paste long links to certain articles which looked really untidy- we all know how links could be especially if not done properly. The link to my lead image was a raw link which looked something like this- "https://media.istockphoto.com/photos/happy-friendly-african-american-woman-dressed-in-white-shirt-offering-picture-id1329754505?b=1&k=20&m=1329754505&s=170667a&w=0&h=0plZY1boPZg3E3f70Lq5ZU9I9Az5s7JbH6BKYDuWems=", instead of this- image source
I didn't realise it could have looked better until it was explained to me by a very wonderful person @clixmoney who made me understand how sourcing could be done in a bid to make those texts look nice and clickable. @princessbusayo played her part in explaining as well and I'm grateful for the help rendered.
Regardless of my doubts and scepticism, I must say that writing my first post was an exciting experience, an experience I'm grateful wasn't equivalent to dust thanks to encouragement and upvotes from several people such as @petrapurple, @princessbusayo, @hopestylist, @meitanteikudo, @mrenglish, @werkseber, @aschatria, @yayogerardo, @razorwave8, @clixmoney, @olegas89 and so on.. to mention a few. I'm thankful to you all for making me feel at home. Special thanks to @instablurt for the upvote as well, I'm sincerely grateful.
There are a lot more things I do not understand about this platform, things such as curator reward, author reward, blurt/ blurtpower percentage, and lots more which I'm hoping to understand better as I progress. The support gotten from several users made me realise that I'm not alone and that a lot more people will always be willing to help me out in the case of difficulties, especially when certain questions needs to be answered.
I've begun interacting with several users already and I'm looking forward to interacting with more users including- @ctime, @oldstone, @dsc-r2cornell, @rajitsear, @blurtart, @frankbacon, @techclub, @junglegirl, @ilovemylife, @newiz, @samhenrytenplus, @offgridlife, @blurtyield, @blurtlove, and many more in a bid to gain new knowledge, gain more traction to my articles, and have some fun while also making quality and interesting posts and earning some #blurt in the process.
Side note: Scanning through @mattsanthonyit's articles and seeing how he showcases his agricultural work with pride via effective writing and photography, I must say that I feel motivated to showcase my work and talent as well. He's a good example to people who do not have confidence in what they do, and I'm glad to have come across his article on my first day here on blurt.
Blurt.blog is a nice and fun place to learn and earn, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make my voice known and heard by various people from several walks of life.
See you on the next one- Toddles!
I'm glad you've made your second post and I can see you are having fun. All the best dear.
Thanks. It's exciting and at the same time confusing regarding what to do next, but I'm pushing through. Thanks a lot dear friend.
You're welcome dear, all the best with understanding it .
Ive been on here for about 7-8 weeks (?) and I still don't understand many things. But just going with the flow. I just really like interacting with people, and so far Ive "met" many lovely people. Found some pretty interesting stuff, and also made some $.
We are also having the first London meet up next week.
I just treat is a community, that I check in with a couple of times a day. I share some stuff. Then i see what I find.
Good luck!!! 💜
I guess there are just too many things about this platform that we can't understand by spending only short time here.
I'm also gonna be doing a lot of interaction so I could meet new people and make a lot of friends, and perhaps earn some $$. I'm sincerely motivated by the progress of my first post and I'm glad I wasn't let down.
I'm not in London, which means I wouldn't be able to attend. I do hope I'd be there the next time a meet up comes up.
Thanks for the encouragement!
It's great of course to be active here. But I think people here don't like to be always mentioned in every single post. That's my opinion, and it's up to you to do what you want. For example, I have a contest here and people mention me only if they participate in it. Or if something happened related to me somehow. So, I advise you just to be active, to write a good content and not to mention all those people, unless the post is related to them somehow. Otherwise, most of them will mute your account and you will less likely supported by them.
I'm so sorry about that. I'd try not to tag as much people in my next post. I'd focus more on being interactive and producing quality articles.
I sincerely appreciate your advice and guidance since I wrote my first post and I'm really grateful.
I have a question- how do I add more blurt up there so I can perform more transactions and how do I post to a community. For instance, if I wanna post to #blurtafrica, how do I do it? I noticed my article appeared under newbie, does this mean that the first hashtag used in the article is what influences where it will be posted?
I'm really unsure of these things and I'm basically doing them randomly.
Thanks again for the advice.
Yeah, the first tag is what appear there, but don't worry about tags that much, I'm sure if you will post something about Africa and use the tag #africa, maybe someone from there will notice you. We have a lot of people from Africa here. Especially Nigeria. You can also ask : @gingerup , @olawalium , @mrenglish and @princekeys. I guess all of them are from Africa, so they may advise you how to be closer to the community here.
Congratulations, your post has been upvoted by @R2cornell, which is a curating account for @R2cornell's Discord Community.
Thanks a lot. I look forward to interacting with you.
