Once upon a time I was a very active user of LinkedIn, but then since the last few years I stopped using it completely. Actually, I did not feel the need. Before I was using it when I was in the Corporate job to promote myself for new opportunities, but then I quit working and got busy in other areas of life and kind of gave up on that side of the world completely. A few days back I signed into my profile again. I thought I should do my Villa promotion on my LinkedIn page.
Back then I had huge number of followers due to the nature of my job, but then in all these years a lot of them have unfollowed me and I can completely understand that. Why would someone follow an inactive person. At the same time I still have 580 connections which is not bad even after so many years. The good part is that when I updated my status so many of them wished me Good Luck, which means that all my followers are organic.
I have so much to do now on my profile. I realize that I have become very slow in my work then before and my task-lists takes time to complete. I have updated my profile after so many years, now I need to promote my business here, which I am looking forward to getting some positive response.
These days marketing has become easier and can be done independently with all these sources.
