Hello everyone.
It is basketball time. Nba Playoffs are here. Well conference semifinal games are here. So first round is done already.
Lets talk a bit about regular season. Just some numbers. In other post we will go over first round.
On the East first and best regular season record belongs to Boston Celtics. With record of 64-17 East first and Nba best team record wise this season. Second team is New York Knicks with 50 - 32 record. Quite surprise. Jalen Bronson is playing great. Milwaukee Bucks is third team with 49-33 record. Cleveland Cavaliers went fourth, Orlando Magic fifth and Indiana Pacers sixth. After Play-in tournament we had Philadelphia 76ers at seventh and Miami Heat at eight place.
Before Play-in tournament Philadelphia was seventh, Miami eight, Chicago Bulls 9th and Atlanta Hawks 10th. In Play-in format 7th seed plays with 8th seed and winner finishes as 7th seed. 9the and 10th seed play together and winner plays with loser between 7th and 8th seed.
So Philadelphia won against Miami for 7th seed. In other matchup Bulls defeated Atlanta but lost to Miami for 8th seed.
On the west it was very close to the end. Results in last games could and did change rankings and some teams avoided play in tournament in these last games.
First team on the west with 57-25 record was Oklahoma City Thunder. Young team with Shai as one of the MVP candidates was quite surprise. Second was defending champs Denver Nuggets with same records as OKC 57 -25. Third on the west was Minnesota Timberwolves with 56-26 record. After Karl Antony Towns injury they slowed down a bit toward end but they finished third and so close to first spot. Anthony Edwards is playing really good.
Fourth was LA Clippers, fifth Dallas Mavericks and sixth Phoenix Suns. Los Angeles Lakers were seventh and New Orleans Pelicans at eight place.
Before Play-in tournament we had New Orleans Pelicans at 7 place, Los Angeles Lakers as 8, Sacramento Kings as 9 and Golden State warriors as 10 seed. In Play-in tournament seed 7 and 8 play games and Los Angeles Lakers won against New Orleans Pelicans and got 7th seed and New Orleans Pelicans played with winner of Sacramento Kings and Golden State warriors for eight seed. Sacramento Kings won and in the game for the eight seed New Orleans Pelicans was winner.
That was quick update for regular season. In next post I will try to cover round one and individual player performances during regular season.
