Monday morning nature walk with affirmations

While we are on the final day of the heatwave here I just couldn't wait anymore so we dropped the spouse at work & took off to a near by trail that we had never been to before...

Apon arriving I hooked up Odin into his harness & attached him to the Kong waist leash for our first attempted walk with it since I was hoping it would give me more control while also allowing me to take pictures without fumbling over holding a leash.

Not even few steps in & I was struck by the beauty of the tall trees that seemed to almost reach to the stars but thankfully a clear cut trail had been made for use to travel on.

The sides of the trail were littered with strategically cut logs and the occasional bench to sit on but it wasn't till we got almost to the end of the circle that we came across a branch shelter, that if I were a crypto zoologist I would say Bigfoot build but we know better in this area it's dogman & give by the size I'd say a juvenile 🤣.

On our way out of the trail we stopped to offer a reflection on the good things in life, the peace & calm that can be found in nature, & to then dread cleaning all the mud & burs out of little buddies paws when we got back to the car. I give this adventure a 8 out of 10 for an impromtu Monday morning mediation & exercise session & I look forward to doing it again.
