Last evening was a Full Moon night. I was out for the evening, but I wanted to make sure that I would spend some time in Meditation after returning back home. It was the Flower Moon. Every full moon has a name. The May one is called the Flower moon since it's spring time and flowers blossom in this season. It was also a Lunar Eclipse. The energy is very high on this night and hence it is advisable to be as calm as much as possible. One can face extreme emotions in this time. Already the Mercury retrograde is also going on and then the Lunar Eclipse so there is a whole lot of energy flowing out there and if we are not centered and grounded well in these times then this energy can easily sway us off. I always recommend that one should consume a lot of water in this time and avoid very heavy foods or even getting into any heavy conversations because they can easily blow off the whole situation out of proportion.
For no reason one may feel like crying or get depressed. Unnecessary thoughts will creep on the mind, problems will be magnified and everything around feels intense. Consuming a lot of water will help balance the energy of the body. During such periods I like to be calm and by myself as much as possible and do nature walks to stay grounded. Meditation also helps me stay centered. Once these heavy energies calm down, we will have a good visibility over things, we will have our learnings and also find new paths of life. It is also advisable to do some form of exercise in this time, be it Yoga or going to the gym or walks, because you need to release the excess energy that gets built up. The energy can be good, but at any time when the energy gets too intense and if we do not release it then it can get chaotic. This is a normal complaint from the school teachers. They always say that their children are out of control in these days.
After I got back home, I clicked some pictures of the Moon and then sat for my meditation. It was a short one for 15 minutes, but felt very calm after doing it. A lot of rituals are done during full moon period. Even I do it sometimes, but this one I wanted to keep it simple.

During these times one thing that impacts me is my sleep. At night I do not fall off to sleep easily. It makes me a little active, and so it did happen last night as well. I was awake till late and then today was a late morning. Anyways now I feel settled. It's always good to observe these patterns and then work with them for best results for your life, so that we can conduct our life in a balanced manner and not throw ourselves off time and again. These are the times of reflection, renewal, change and new beginnings.

Last night I was also able to see that big moon here in Venezuela. It radiated so much light! I have always liked contemplating the moon and yesterday I really enjoyed it. I did not know that about emotions, I have heard that the moon can have an influence on human beings but I did not know how much it could be. Thanks for the information.
