Crops destroyed

in nature •  2 years ago

The last several weeks there have been heavy rains and that is the reason why crops are getting destroyed.

India is an agricultural country where a huge population depends upon agriculture for livelihood and a huge majority of these farmers depend upon rain for irrigation.

Most villages do not have a river or canals connected so it is a bit difficult for the farmers. They depend on rainwater.

I was in the highway and I saw the condition of many farms. The crops are getting destroyed because of stagnant water. You can see the crops getting brown and then most of these will die.

This is still early into the season so the farmers will remove the dead plants are then sow green gram or moong dal. If this lasts another month then it will be too late to sow anything.
